HiDH Dividend Analyst
HiDH Dividend Analyst

About Us
HiDH Dividend Analyst automatically analyses over 300 global high-dividend stocks every trading day, using a quantitative scoring system to help investors identify quality income stocks and avoid high-risk traps.
About the Platform
HiDH Dividend Analyst is an independent financial information platform focused on global high-dividend stock analysis. Founded by a Hong Kong individual investor, the platform aims to provide retail investors with a systematic, data-driven approach to screening quality dividend stocks worth holding for the long term.
The platform covers four major markets: Hong Kong (Hang Seng constituents and major blue chips), United States (S&P 500 high-yield stocks and REITs), United Kingdom (FTSE 100 high-yield stocks and infrastructure trusts), and China A-shares (CSI 300 high-dividend blue chips). After each trading session, the system automatically fetches the latest data from public financial sources, recalculates all scores, and updates the website — no manual intervention required.
We believe that long-term, stable dividend income is a cornerstone of wealth building. Dividend investing provides regular cash flow, and the compounding effect of reinvested dividends significantly boosts long-term returns. However, not all high-yield stocks are worth holding. Some high yields simply reflect the market's concern about a company's outlook or an unsustainable payout. The core mission of this platform is to help investors distinguish between genuine quality dividend stocks and "yield traps."
Five-Dimension Quantitative Scoring
Every stock is scored on a 100-point scale across five dimensions, each targeting a different aspect of dividend sustainability, valuation, financial strength, growth potential, and technical momentum:
Rating Guide
Based on the total score, each stock receives one of the following ratings to help investors quickly identify opportunities and risks:
Market Coverage
Covers Hang Seng Index constituents, major REITs (Link REIT, Champion REIT), utilities (Power Assets, CLP), local and mainland Chinese banks (H-shares), telecoms, and selected state-owned enterprise blue chips. Note: investors should be aware of RMB exchange rate and mainland policy risks.
Covers S&P 500 high-yield stocks, US REITs (Realty Income, Prologis), utilities (NextEra, Duke Energy), consumer staples (Coca-Cola, P&G), healthcare (J&J, AbbVie) and high-yield ETFs (SCHD, VYM, JEPI). The US market offers strong liquidity and an excellent track record of dividend growth.
Focuses on FTSE 100 high-yield blue chips including telecoms (Vodafone, BT), energy majors (BP, Shell), banks (Barclays, Lloyds), infrastructure (National Grid) and renewable energy investment trusts. UK stocks historically offer higher yields than US counterparts; GBP currency risk should be considered.
Covers CSI 300 high-dividend blue chips including major state-owned banks (ICBC, CCB, ABC), energy companies (China Shenhua, Yangtze Power), insurers (Ping An, China Pacific) and consumer leaders. China's market regulators have increasingly encouraged higher dividend payouts in recent years.
🔴 High-RiskHigh-Risk List Explained
The High-Risk List highlights stocks scoring below 30 points as a reference warning for investors. High-risk stocks typically exhibit several of the following characteristics simultaneously:
- Payout ratio far exceeding 100% — dividends are effectively funded by debt or asset sales
- Negative free cash flow — the company cannot self-fund its dividend from operations
- Dividend cuts or suspensions in recent years — an unreliable income track record
- Excessive financial leverage — high debt levels make the company vulnerable in a downturn
- Severely stretched valuation — the high price has compressed the yield to unattractive levels
- Persistent earnings decline — the financial basis for maintaining dividends is eroding
The High-Risk List is not a sell recommendation, nor does it imply that a company will definitely face problems. It is an alert tool that flags stocks requiring deeper independent research before any investment decision is made.
Data Sources & Update Process
The platform uses multiple public financial data sources to ensure broad coverage and data accuracy:
- Yahoo Finance: Prices, fundamentals and dividend data for HK, US and UK stocks
- AKShare: Historical price and ex-dividend records for China A-shares
- Static fallback data: When a live data source is unavailable or returns anomalous values, the system automatically falls back to pre-verified reference values
After each trading session, the system automatically executes the full update pipeline: fetching the latest closing prices and fundamental data → recalculating all five-dimension scores → updating the website and recording pick history. The entire process is fully automated with no manual steps required.
Pick Tracking & Performance Record
The platform automatically records the date and price at which each stock first enters the recommendation list or high-risk list. Each stock card displays:
- Picked On: The date the stock was first added to the recommendation list
- Then Price: The stock price at the time of entry
- Change: Percentage price change from the pick date to today
This tracking feature is designed to enhance transparency and allow users to objectively assess the reference value of the platform's scoring system over time.
